DESCRIPTION

Global Security Operations (GSO) supports Amazon Worldwide Operations, as well as affiliate and retail businesses, by mitigating risks to our people, facilities, and brand. We accomplish this through policies and standardized guidelines based on best practices; using technology to eliminate subjectivity, complexity, and variation; identifying, preparing for, and mitigating the impact of adverse events; and auditing our practices to ensure compliance and consistency. The Global Security Compliance & Validation (GSCV) team is seeking an experienced professional to lead a global policy compliance audit program within Global Security Operations. The responsibilities of this leader range from scoping, planning, executing, and reporting policy compliance audits into Amazon Operations to identify root causes of Global Security Risk. This leader will work with Loss Prevention leadership and functional areas of GSO to scope, plan, execute, and report on the annual global audit plan. There may be opportunities to assist in other areas within the team.

This is a highly collaborative and visible position that requires great attention to detail, an inquisitive mindset, proven ability to work remotely from the team, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate learns fast, is an action-oriented problem-solver, and can easily adapt when faced with a challenge.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives specific to tools and processes used to maintain a global audit program.
· Review policies, security incidents, and Risk KPIs to develop an annual audit plan.
· Collaborate with GSO team members from all regions and functional areas to obtain detailed information regarding audit engagements.
· Identify and communicate with non-GSO stakeholders regarding risk levels, business risk appetite, mitigation gaps, and mitigation strategies.
· Own audit engagements through the full life-cycle which includes developing scope, creating work programs, performing audit procedures, preparing audit reports, agreeing upon action plans and follow up of the implementation of audit actions.
· Manage projects and optimize solutions that result from audit findings and recommendations.
· Research, identify, and consult with subject-matter experts to recommend risk mitigating solutions.
· Collaborate with Risk Management and Global policy to influence organizational policy changes.
· Facilitate site, regional or enterprise audit plans involving GSO leaders and stakeholders such as Legal, Internal Audit, Finance, HR, etc.
· Develop and deliver training on program tools and processes.
· Develop and maintain Internal Audit and security subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge.
· Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent post-secondary degree.
· Experience creating and building Internal and/or External Audit Departments.
· Operational audit and process improvement experience.
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Internal and/or External audit leadership.
