DESCRIPTION

Amazon EC2 Container Service for Kubernetes (EKS) is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a key software development team responsible for developing the next generation of the core infrastructure for Amazon EKS. The Amazon EC2 Container Service for Kubernetes is a newly formed team building a core set of services that allow our customers to use Kubernetes at scale without the undifferentiated heavy lifting required to manage Kubernetes. This leader will own staffing and managing the engineering team, product development, setting the team culture, best practices, planning and delivering status to the leadership. The successful candidate will be able to deal with ambiguity and will need to think big!

This leader has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. A high level of ownership and accountability is a must.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
· A minimum of 3-4 years of software development, and a similar amount in software management experience.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and developing direct reports (performance review communication, accountability, motivation/engagement)
