Are you looking for the opportunity to have a major impact on cutting edge technology used by millions of people every day? The Community Shopping team is responsible for many iconic Amazon experiences including Customer Reviews, Wish Lists and Gifts. We're looking for a Software Development Manager to start a brand new team in Berlin, Germany and deliver on our next generation of product and services from the ground up.

In this role you'll be growing and leading a team of engineers, providing vision and managing execution to build Amazon-scale systems. Your team will be responsible for designing, building, testing and launching innovative, mission critical, high volume applications and services that customers love. This role will have responsibility for the full product lifecycle, from strategy and prioritization to adoption and iteration. You'll partner closely with geographically dispersed engineering, product, and business teams throughout Amazon to define and execute against your roadmap on an aggressive schedule.

You'll need a strong sense of ownership, bias for action, agility, and creativity as well as a focus on the technical operations for your team's systems. Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years experience managing software engineering teams building scalable, distributed applications
· 3+ years experience as a Software Engineer
· Knowledge of CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
· Experience defining, prioritizing and executing a clear roadmap in an agile environment
· Skilled in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
