DESCRIPTION

The AWS Collaboration Systems Development team provides innovative e-mail, perimeter security, and portal systems to support Amazonians around the globe – wherever they may be. If the existing solutions do not meet the needs of our customers, we develop new ones. We touch every element of the business: our corporate offices, our customer service team, fulfillment centers, a diverse development community, and many more.

In addition to serving Amazonian end-users, we work closely with AWS external product teams to push the boundaries of performance, scalability, security and overall value of Amazon Web Services (AWS). We currently manage the largest AWS-based implementations of Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and are working directly with AWS product teams to envision the next generation of services. This role will play a lead in the development of our Portal services infrastructure.

You have a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions. You have experience working as a systems engineer, with a development background, in an enterprise environment, and have implemented automated solutions across a variety of applications and systems.

You’re knowledgeable. You understand cloud technologies and love digging into new technologies and figuring out how to incorporate what they offer into your solutions.

You’re passionate about customers and success. You obsess over how to help your customers do their job, not over their computing environment. You understand different people have different needs for being productive, and strive to develop self-service-oriented solutions. You have a passion for learning, designing, and building cloud computing systems for a diverse set of customers.

You want to drive improvements into products, not work around their shortcomings. You are comfortable taking your suggestions directly to AWS and Microsoft product teams. You are comfortable writing software solutions to bridge any shortcomings.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5+ years relevant work experience.

3+ years engineering and deploying SharePoint 2010/2016

Strong ability to automate repetitive tasks in Windows focused languages including C#, PowerShell,

3+ years building AWS infrastructure

Flexibility, thinking on your feet, and strong problem solving skills
