The Amazon Alexa Smart Home Research team is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Research Producer to join our Research team. In this role, you will develop expertise in managing research as a program and service. You will have a large responsibility working globally with internal stakeholders such as product management, business owners, Legal, PR, Finance, and Design Teams. You are a good fit for this position if you are an excellent communicator, knowledgeable about UX and market research, as well as design, is comfortable in a fast moving organization, excited to collaborate, and focused squarely on impacting the customer experience of the Alexa service. You will work with minimal direction to quickly deliver high-quality outputs. There will be overlapping projects, so you are good at multi-tasking, juggling competing priorities, and organizing yourself. Key Aspects of the role:
· Oversight of the purpose and status of programs and projects on the research team and use this oversight to support project-level activity
· Ensure the program goals are met by providing a decision-making capacity that cannot be achieved at the sub-program or project level
· Act as a sounding board for ideas and approaches to solving sub-program and project issues that have program-wide impacts
· Coordinate across Legal, product, finance, operations, and technical teams, approve vendors, and align budget
· Coordinate research logistics, including booking facilities, recruit and schedule research candidates
· Understand business and research strategy and have the ability to translate that into tangible actions that deliver results for research services
· Identify and manage cross-project dependencies and provide insight of the risk, issues, requirements, designs or solutions to be able to effectively manage the program
· Own communications to project members and stakeholders on progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates and various white paper analysis
· Actively seek out information from the sub program and project managers to provide the business owner with information needed in order to be comfortable that the overall program goals are achievable

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS in Human-computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or similar
· Experience coordinating projects across functional teams, including engineering, merchandising, design, marketing, finance, and operations
· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, JIRA, and PowerPoint
