People Tech's Time QA team supports solving test problems of optimization, performance, and scalability. Technologies we're testing range from 3rd-party platform configurations to API and front-end UI solutions. Our automation needs are abundant and varied: dive into scenario-based employee data generation and API validation frameworks, canary and regression tests, and building pipelines.

Core responsibilities will include:
· Collaborating with dev teams and your team peers to identify and prioritize opportunities for automation.
· Implementation of systems, tools, and frameworks whose purpose is to drive People Tech software efficiency and agility.
· Gathering and reporting relevant and actionable metrics. Enforcing, auditing, and streamlining automated software test and delivery processes.
· Mentoring junior engineers so they can become as good as you are.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years of experience and demonstrated strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python or Java
· Demonstrated understanding of how and where risk is introduced during software development
· Experience designing and developing automation test frameworks and tools in Python or Java, or equivalent experience
· Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, continuous deployment, * and test suite development and maintenance
· Familiarity with Python or Java unit-testing framework
· Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
· Excellent written and spoken communication
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ year relevant work experience
