The Team: Amazon is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to be a member of the customer reviews development team in Seattle, WA. We own Amazon's famous Customer Reviews and Star Ratings – one of the world's largest community driven products and a hallmark, permanent feature of Amazon's retail website. This feature is a tremendously visible aspect of Amazon's brand and competitive advantage. We materially impact dozens of Amazon's retail businesses and hence are considered a tier-1 critical feature for the company.
We are forming a team to develop transforming new features that will help millions of customers to make shopping decisions on-line. We strive to build the most intuitive and fast user experience possible. We will achieve it by utilizing Amazon's highly scalable distributed systems and applying the latest techniques in data mining, predictive modeling, and natural language processing.
The Role:
As a QAE, you will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, building test plans and testing software in partnership with other peers within the team.
You will work on interesting challenges with test automation, which is one of our main goals.
You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that's higher than most projects and enjoy solving hard problems which frankly, haven't been solved at scale before. You will tackle challenging, situations every day given the Reviews Charter/Roadmap for this year. Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
· 3+ Years industry experience testing software.
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Automation architecture development and/or maintenance experience
· Experience in programming languages as Java/C++ and scripting to build test automation.
· Innovate new and better processes in the QA area.
· Ability to think of the big picture, deep dive , disagree and commit.
