Come inspire and educate developers to build for voice with Alexa, Amazon’s voice service and the brain behind tens of millions of devices like the Echo family of devices including Echo Show and Echo Spot. Our developers build new capabilities, or skills, that make Alexa smarter and make everyday tasks faster, easier, and more delightful.

The Alexa skills developer marketing team is looking for a creative and dynamic social media maven to redefine the way we distribute our marketing and educational content. We seek a think-outside-the-box storyteller who will continuously reimagine how and where we tell our stories in order to maximize our reach, scale our digital presence, and grow our community.

In this role, your focus will be to maximize the impact of all marketing and educational content. You will work closely with our marketers, evangelists, and other subject matter experts to source and create content based on business priorities, then own the distribution of this content to reach developers where they are to drive engagement and conversion. You will drive our strategy and presence on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other third-party platforms where untapped opportunities lie. You will also contribute content to first-party platforms such as the Alexa Developer Blog as part of your work to stretch the mileage of each content piece.

You are an audience-centric expert in social media and content distribution. You take a part-art, part-science approach to content. You can dive deep on data to understand the nuances of each channel and audience, then use your creative prowess to drive a channel-based strategy and deliver substantive, attention-grabbing content. You challenge yourself to create content that resonates so deeply with your audience that it goes viral. You can write clean, snappy copy and create your own visual assets and GIFs using Adobe Photoshop and Camtasia so that you can experiment and iterate quickly. You are constantly looking for ways to improve your delivery, and you see each new content asset as an opportunity to outdo your last big win. Like a true Amazonian, you never rest on your laurels.

Key Responsibilities
· Establish a framework to drive channel-based creation and delivery of all marketing and education content
· Ensure each content sees maximum mileage through iterative content formats and innovative delivery methods
· Define and own channel strategies for YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Medium, Reddit, and more
· Identify and experiment on new third-party channels and platforms where developers are and where Alexa should be
· Dive deep into qualitative and quantitative data to define and evolve understanding of audience makeup, behavior, and expectations on each channel
· Produce innovative and attention-grabbing content that are optimized for each channel, and continuously refine approach to drive performance
· Track channel-based metrics against goals and own reporting
· Share learnings with broader team to influence content planning and creation by others
· Advise evangelists and marketers on channel-based best practices and tips that drive engagement

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Communications, or a related field
· 4+ years of experience in social/content distribution strategy
· 1+ years of experience editing visual assets with Adobe Photoshop
· 1+ years of experience editing video with Camtasia or similar video editing tool
