Amazon Music seeks a smart, driven merchandiser to join the Digital Music Engagement team who will be obsessed with showing our customers the right music at the right time. This role will own the strategy and execution of driving Amazon Music engagement, free-trial conversions, and upgrades across the Amazon Music apps, drive product improvements across multiple product teams, and manage (or create new) content merchandising processes. A successful candidate will have a passion for understanding customer behavior and be able to communicate this to stakeholders on the business and product teams. They will have an interest in testing, from creating the testing plan to communicating the results upwards and using the data to inform future business decisions. And, as we are a global organization, this role will also work regularly with our global counterparts in creating and sharing best practices. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have strong communication skills, be comfortable with ambiguity, and have the creativity to challenge our status quo. The merchandiser's responsibilities will include owning the Amazon Music engagement, free-trial conversion, and upgrade merchandising strategies in the Amazon Music apps, driving the Amazon Music engagement in-app messaging strategy, creating and executing an app download plan, working closely with multiple product teams to drive improvements across all of our apps, and creating best practices to be used globally.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, execute, and communicate merchandising to drive Amazon Music engagement, free-trial conversions and upgrades across Amazon Music apps.

• Analyze results of testing, communicate learnings upwards and internationally, and use the data to drive future tests

• Document results and share best-practices across Amazon Digital Music's worldwide organization

• Own the engagement in-app messaging strategy and workflow

• Use merchandising levers to drive Amazon Music app downloads

• Partner with technical and business teams to drive system improvements within the Amazon Music apps

• Own multiple team KPIs for customer engagement, developing strategy to drive results over short and long-term

• Manage content merchandising workflows and create new ones where needed

• Possess exceptional marketing, merchandising and project management skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Capable of handling multiple projects at once amidst rapidly-changing priorities and comfortable dealing with ambiguity

• Ability to be successful both as an individual contributor and in a team environment, and also will be able to perform at both strategic and tactical levels

• Ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities, thrive on solving challenging problems, and not be afraid to challenge the status quo

• Passion for music and technology and the confluence of the two

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS required

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in online marketing, site merchandising, or content management.

• Knowledge of HTML, XML, and Excel. Comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools.

• Demonstrated success in delivering results in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
