We're working hard, having fun, and making history; come join us!Amazon Alexa AI is seeking a German, Japanese or Portugese Language Data Researcher to join our Alexa AI data team to provide language expertise and data analysis. The Language Data Researcher will become an expert in data operations for supervised learning algorithms, working closely with a team of skilled analysts and Applied Scientists to provide insights and drive improvements on speech and language applications for conversational AI. This role will be a key team member in developing new conventions for relevant data workflows and process improvements. In addition, the Language Data Researcher will be asked to handle unique data analysis requests that support the overall processing of a data collection and analysis team.
The Language Data Researcher must have a passion for data, efficiency, and accuracy. Specifically, the Language Data Researcher will:

- Handle unique data analysis requests from a range of data customers, including quantitative and qualitative analyses to elevate the customer and developer experience

- Lead and evaluate changing conventions, test tooling developments, and pilot processes to support expansion to new data areas

- Continuously evaluate workflow tools and processes and offer solutions to ensure they are efficient, high quality, and scalable

- Provide day-to-day expert support for a team of data analysts

- Provide key support for on-going and new data collection efforts

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in a relevant field, including Linguistics, Computer Mediated Communication, and Language Psychology
Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques
3+ years experience working with language data
Native or near-native fluency in German, Japanese, or Portuguese
Experience with process design and documentation
Experience taking a lead role on projects involving collaboration with one or more teams
Experience communicating research findings and analysis in both written and spoken channels
