Are you an extraordinary communicator who can translate complex technical information into clear, concise and appealing content? Infrastructure Operation's Training & Documentation team is looking for an Instructional Designer with superb critical thinking skills and excellent judgment.

The ideal candidate will have superb writing skills paired with the ability to create visually appealing communication solutions. They will have demonstrated project management experience and the organizational discipline to track and manage Instructional Design work for several complex projects simultaneously.

The primary responsibilities for the Instructional Designer include:
· Collaborating with data center subject matter experts (SME's) to understand their training needs
· Evaluating existing process and training documentation to identify the most suitable content to further develop into a web based training format
· Scoping, designing and developing web based content that is both engaging and informative
· Supporting Infrastructure Operations global training initiatives
· Creating and updating internal processes and templates to minimize future content development time
· Converting .ppt storyboards into animated, interactive eLearning modules in Captivate 9
· Managing content source files in shared libraries and uploading content into learning management system for access by training audience
· Manage course content and training session scheduling within our Learning Management System
· Create and run reports from the LMS
· Maintaining and monitoring all course content, assessments and reporting data within the learning management system
· Project managing existing web based training content to ensure the content remains relevant and up to date with periodical version updates
· Supporting continual process improvement within the Infrastructure Operations training team to ensure we are building high-quality, scalable programs for our audience

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

You are someone who is creative, highly autonomous and responsive to working in a fast changing environment. You will be very detail oriented and able to multi-task.

Candidates will have experience scoping, designing and developing training. They will also have the following attributes:

· Knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning principles
· Strong expertise with Microsoft PowerPoint
· Visual design ability and experience with tools such as Adobe CC's Illustrator or Photoshop (or other graphic development tools)
· 3+ years of experience designing and creating web-based and/or video training for adult audiences (Preference: Adobe Captivate; Articulate Storyline; TechSmith Camtasia and/or Adobe Premier)
· 3+ years of experience developing training materials (such as job aids; instructor-led training; facilitator guides; online tutorials; etc.) for the purposes of adult learning
· Able to demonstrate excellent project coordination, stakeholder management and organization skills
· Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills for collaborating with subject matter experts and managers; including the ability to explain technical topics to novices
· Team player, willing to adapt based on business needs
