DESCRIPTION

The AWS Training & Certification is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced manager to lead a video, design and creative services production team developing engaging content as part of our digital learning experiences.

As the Head of Digital Design &, Media Production on the Training and Certification's curriculum team, you will be responsible for the production of engaging video content including lectures, interviews, demo and Khan-style white-boarding, role-play scenarios, and motion graphics. You will closely collaborate with curriculum development management, content developers and trainers to create content that is aligned with the AWS brand and accomplishes the learning objectives of defined courses. You will also provide expertise and guidance on the best ways to achieve high end engagement through digital learning and prescribing the best in breed approaches and tools to achieve these goals, manage key strategic vendors for supplemental capacity and enhance our overall digital footprint for employees, partners and customers.

This is a position that includes managing and growing a video production, creative services and design team and expanding operations in our Seattle-based studio as well as other locations. As a successful candidate, you are an effective communicator who can handle multiple strategic projects from beginning to end, under tight and evolving deadlines. You can establish efficient production processes and work independently with little supervision and/or collaborate with other teams including curriculum development, engineering, and operations.

The ideal candidate has experience managing a production team with a focus on training, education, or digital-learning. You have a high level of proficiency with streamlining creative services production and post-production workflows for high-volume output.

This position must be in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities
- Manage production of a variety of different training video styles (lectures, interviews, role-play scenarios, animations, etc.)
- Drive a cohesive strategy around creative services and content and curriculum development leaders.
- Manage and grow a team of 4 producers and 2 designers
- Collaborate in a team environment and clearly communicate to teammates, vendors and stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships and hiring crews for in-studio and on-location productions
- Deliver on time, every time
- Budget responsibility
- Have a high degree of attention to detail especially when managing multiple video projects, versioning, and receiving feedback from project owners
- Manage communication between project stakeholders and the production team
- Self-motivated to continually raise the creative bar

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum 5 years as a production manager or producer
- 5+ years utilizing creative services production and post-production workflows to demonstrate deep knowledge, including Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects as well as other best in breed approaches and technologies.
- 3+ years recent knowledge of video industry standards and formats, and media and asset management practices on Mac/Windows platforms and networked environments
- 5+ years utilizing current video and animation production processes
