Data Associate - Spanish

DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a Spanish Language Data Associate to join our Kindle data team. This role focuses on language data, primarily in the areas of grammars, text annotation, and general localization deliverables.
The Language Data Associate must be capable of:
· Building a thorough understanding of data labeling conventions and provide support to global sites
· Localizing established guidelines from English into Spanish
· Identifying and eliminating bugs
· Delivering high quality data output under aggressive deadlines
· Working autonomously with minimal direction
· Handling unique data analysis requests from a range of data customers
· Contributing to process improvements to reduce handling time and improve data output
· Diving deep into issues and implement solutions independently
· Providing quality expertise to other team members and coaching improvements
In addition, the Spanish Language Data Associate will need to quickly understand changes in response to customers' requests and change workflows accordingly. The Spanish Language Data Associate must have a passion for data, efficiency, and accuracy as well as:
· Show proactive efforts in addressing issues and problems
· Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detailed-oriented
· Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
· Willingness to support several projects at one time, and to accept re-prioritization as necessary
· Ability to keep up with changing project conventions and priorities

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BA or BS degree
- Native level fluency in Spanish, both written and verbal
- Business level fluency in English
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
