You will work with leading companies in this space and directly with the engineering teams within Amazon developing these new capabilities.

Overview

The AWS Support team is seeking engineers that enjoy solving problems, working with customers, and that have a strong technical background in systems administration, identity and access management, compliance and auditing, web applications and cryptographic protocols. Our associates are also the “voice of the customer” and have a strong voice in to the development teams for recurring issues or feature requests. If you're looking for an entry level role in System administration, working on web applications and security protocols and understand the advantages of working in a highly distributed virtual environment, you might be the person we are looking for!

· Empower AWS customers who use AWS security management services, including but not limited to:
· Identity Access Management (IAM)
· AWS Certificate Manager (ACM)
· Key Management Service (KMS)
· Cloud Hardware Security Module (HSM)
· CloudTrail
· Macie
· Inspector
· AWS Core Services like (EC2, VPC, ELB and S3)
· Learn, support, and use groundbreaking technologies
· Field and manage customer's technical issues via phone, chat and email
· Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs
· Leverage your day-to-day experiences to provide the voice of the customer to internal AWS teams
· Drive customer communication during critical events
· Create knowledge articles, videos and other technical articles for the AWS customer community

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or 4+ years of experience in a technical position
· 3+ years of experience working as a systems/security administrator
· Open to working non-standard hours (no night shifts) including a Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday workweek
· Impeccable written and oral communication skills
· Strong critical and procedural thinking
· Demonstrated methodical troubleshooting skills
· Interest in information security and a demonstrated ability to learn related concepts and technologies
· Demonstrated experience as a Linux, Windows and/or virtualization tools system administrator
· Demonstrated experience troubleshooting web applications and related technologies
· Working knowledge of common networking protocols and tools at all layers of the TCP/IP stack
· Demonstrated experience interacting with and troubleshooting public APIs
· Experience working in a customer-facing technical role
