The Transportation Business Analyst works within the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Inbound team and across the EU in a cross-functional environment with the European Planning Team, Transportation Operations Teams, Retail Teams, and Warehouse and Sortation organizations.

Overall, the Business Analyst will own three major pieces of the ATS Inbound network. The first being the development of a comprehensive suite of performance management tools for the operations team and leadership. Second, the Business Analyst will assist in deep diving performance issues and working with the operations teams to develop long lasting corrective actions. Lastly, the Business Analyst will develop, launch and train operators on tools to improve their efficiency and impact on the growth of the business.

The successful candidate will have strong data visualization skills and is comfortable distilling large data sets into actionable information. Also, a strong candidate will have no issues tackling business problems that require piecing together data from across the organization and garnering support from internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:
· Deliver interactive performance dashboard for operations teams to assist in day to day decision making.
· Work with operations team to deep dive and root cause performance issues in the network and track down fixes through completion
· Build tools to automate manual workflows
· Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and / or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
· Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors / Suppliers) and internal customers (Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)

The position is based in Amazon's EU Headquarters in the vibrant city of Luxembourg.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A successful candidate will have:
· BA or BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Management or another technical field
· An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial
· Experience with SQL.
· Proficiency with Tableau or Amazon QuickSight, Microsoft Excel and VBA for developing interactive reports, data manipulation, pivot tables, creating macros etc.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
· Sound business judgment and proven ability to influence others including external customers and clients
· Fluent in English. Further additional EU languages will be a strong plus
