The Search Customer Experience team is responsible for worldwide customer facing search features on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Everything from the moment a customer clicks into the search box to when they view search results. We use machine learning to build smarter and more personalized experiences for our customers across a wide variety of categories, from instant video and Kindle books to apparel and electronics.
You will work alongside internationally recognized experts to develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques to advance the state-of-the-art in machine learning and data management. Applied Scientists at Amazon work in teams with Software Development Engineers to bring novel ideas into production systems. At Amazon, you have the ability to publish research papers and to work on a diverse team.
Ideal candidate profile
· PhD degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
· Publications in machine learning or data management conferences or journals (e.g., NIPS, ICML, VLDB, SIGMOD)
· Experience in machine learning/artificial intelligence, data quality, data science, or information integration research
· Experience in general-purpose programming languages such as Scala, Python, Java, or C++
