We are a cloud AWS service that helps customers use machine learning algorithms on the most important IP assets of companies. While ML/AI services are at the frontier of the cloud business, the product we will launch is truly revolutionary from AI and CS perspective and will be core to all software businesses. The product will incorporate innovation in machine learning as well as core computer science with associated challenges in software development. It is a moment in history for you to be a part of.

You will be part of a team what builds and releases a product that incorporates world-class ML, CS, and software technologies. You will work in a close-knit team of computer scientists, ML experts, and software developers.

As a scientist at AWS you will invent, implement and deploy state of the art algorithms and systems. You will build prototypes and explore new solutions. You will interact closely with costumers and understand their machine learning challenges.

You will work in a fast-paced environment and do everything from determining priorities and designing features, to re-architecture as necessary, to automated testing, to mentoring others. The best candidates blend broad scientific curiosity, technical depth, and end-to-end ownership.

The position is in Seattle.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Masters (PhD preferred) degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
· Demonstrated expertise in a field and be able to drive a research agenda that is well aligned with business needs.
· Solid track record with machine learning applications or mathematical logic and compilers
· 2+ years of related work experience
· Experience with fast prototyping
· Experience working effectively with software engineering teams
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Up-to-date understanding of industry and technology trends in the area of research.
