DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) Global Command Center team is seeking a talented Business Analyst for an exciting opportunity to support the growth of our Amazon Global Logistics Exports operations. AGL is dedicated to building, managing and operating a global logistics network that enables selection from anywhere in the world and delivers customer orders to anywhere in the world, cost effectively. As part of this strategy, AGL established the Exports Global Command Center team (GCC) to guide and support Global AGL operations. GCC oversees the following global supporting functions: implementation and creation of the same operational standards across the regional teams, the strategic management of the global fulfillment network, global performance reporting and business intelligence, carrier onboarding prioritization and configuration, global supply chain analytics and defects reduction programs. The GCC Network Business Analyst will particularly focus A) on creating and delivering the networks analytics for the fulfillment origins and B) helping improve the network's optimization and reduce operational defects such as upgrades and DPMO. This role will also support the AGL Exports Operations team in the following areas: network performance reporting and predictive analytics, network onboarding activities, standardization of processes and operating mechanisms support. This role will require Bias for Action and Ownership to drive successfully complex processes while having the ability to work autonomously in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership and exercise reasonable judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The position will located in Seattle, WA.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics, MBA or similar field from an accredited university
· Experience managing operations in Supply chain
· Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and deliver initiatives
· Proven track record of experience with supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics – gained through work experience or graduate level education
· 3+ years relevant work experience
· Ability to write queries and extract data through databases and strong excel and analytical skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The role requires effective communication with colleagues from computer science, operations research and business backgrounds
