Summary Overview of Responsibilities:

The Operational Analyst plays a key role to interact and understand the operational business. He has the capability to analyse and resolve conflicting requirements. He will provide innovative solutions to shield complexity and help to implement automated solutions for the highly demanding operational
business domain.
Additionally, the Operational Analyst will participate to the strategy definition around monitoring policy, user interface frameworks and re-usable components.
The Operational Analyst needs to participate to the definition and validation of the qualification process for these solutions.
As a Usability Specialist the Operational Analyst will participate in the UI design using user-centered design methodologies in order to ensure efficient and usable solutions for our customer for our solutions portfolio (web application, desktop application, etc.).

Major Responsibilities:

· Responsible to ensure easy, usable, efficient and useful interface design from conceptualization until customer delivery
· Conduct Task analysis on existing applications, document users's requirements for improvements of current solutions
· Participate to the definition of new application workflow to improve user experience, increase efficiency and satisfaction when using the application (this includes measurement criteria to be defined and reported)
· Participate to user groups or similar forums with stakeholders.
· Participate with operational and development groups in the elaboration of functional requirements.
· Analyse operational requirements and change requests and provide feasibility studies and sizing.
· Conduct usability evaluations and user requirement collection and document recommendations and specifications for UI design.
· Collaborate with development teams to ensure result of usability studies and user requirement collection are implemented correctly into the Solutions at UI and workflow level and participate to the testing scenario of interfaces.
· Document interface guidelines and standards and ensure consistent look and feel across the product portfolio.
· Design user interfaces mockups (low and medium level fidelity) \\ in compliance with Usability Standards
· Identify, document and catalogue operational applications for Automation and Monitoring applications
· Participate to training of these solutions and functional walkthroughs.
· Write and maintain functional specifications.
· Participate to the qualification phase of the solutions and provide functional sign-off.
· Own the deployment process and ensure acceptance of stakeholders.
· Ensure solution integrity by validating and prioritizing reported problems.

Relevant Job Experience:

1. Qualification (School, university, equivalent, etc.):

· Engineering degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related technical
field or
· Master’s Degree in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Usability
Engineering

2. Know How / Skills:

· Very good understanding of user-centered design principles and tools
UML
· User Interface design
· Business Process Management (BPM)
· Familiar with Desktop office software (e.g. Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Rational Rose UML ideally or similar applications)

3. Relevant Job Experience:

· 3+ years in a similar position
