Summary Overview:

Amadeus has decided to build an Airport IT Service , a business domain that represents a significant potential for diversification and company growth.

Airport IT covers multiple applications for flight operations (schedules and flight status), information displays for public, private and mobile customer channels, and many other airport software solutions.

You will discover the hidden face of an Airport, the huge complexity to handle ground operations when thousands of passengers are synchronized through complex processes, the challenges for an IT service provider, and the new functionality, which we will design. This will be conducted in close partnership with major European Airports.

The target of the new Airport IT team is to design, implement and deploy Airport Operational Solutions to Airport Authorities and Ground Handlers, in collaboration with Airlines.

Responsibilities & Key Result Areas

· Application Management of Airport IT products (Sequence Manager, Stand & Gate Allocation, Airport operational database and others)
· Debugging platform (Linux) related issues.
· Incident Recovery and Problem Analysis in a highly distributed environment
· Identify and document the non-functional requirements for Operations
· Setting up the test and production infrastructure to operate the Airport IT applications in a 24x7 manner
· Perform technical migrations seamlessly (Operating System Upgrade, DB-Migrations, Application Server Upgrades)

Competencies

· Linux (Redhat) administration knowledge ( beginner level )
· Understanding of JBoss Application Servers (JBoss 7) and Apache Webserver’s (versions 2.2.x and 2.4.x, incl. mod_jk, mod_cluster for load balancing, secure configuration) in a Linux environment
· Experience in High Availability / Mission Critical Application Operations: load balancing / clustering / failover procedures is a plus
· Knowledge in JMS provider technology (MQ) is a plus
· Knowledge about application monitoring
· Knowledge of Oracle DB-Server, Network Load Balancer Technology, Cisco Routers and Switches, Firewalls, DNS & TCP/IP-stack is a plus
· Experience in coordinating tasks and changes in a distributed environment
· Experience in setting up Operational Processes and procedures for mission critical applications

Education andYears of Experience

· Minimum 2 years application, JBoss and Apachemanagement under Linux experience.
· University degree in computer science or equivalent
