Alstom in Germany is one of the major suppliers of German rail infrastructure. In this context, we are looking for a VIE as Material Planner / Procurement based in our offices in Salzgiter / Germany for 12 months
Your mission:
Serving and developing national / international suppliers in terms of delivery reliability (right amount at the right time). Support our Supply Chain department as a part of the material planning & procurement team in all actions. Work closely with other departments e.g. Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality. Secure the material availability of the components. This includes the following activities:
- A constant contact with the suppliers incl. delivery time supervision and necessary appointment demands.
- Secure of all deliveries in the right amount, at the right time, in the right quality (OTIF)in adaptation to the internal manufacturing processes.
- Permanent reconcile between production and suppliers with appointment-critical components, forwarding of appointment changes to the suppliers
- Supervision of the back delivery in time of complaints and repair missions
- Creation of individual part lists to track the orders, demand-oriented timing of A & B parts
- Realisation and assessment of Capacity checks with critical suppliers including the consultation of the results with the supplier
- Support of the development of logistics specifications as a contract component during the inquiry phase
- Participation and support of Sourcing in the negotiations of the logistics specifications with the supplier
Your profile :
Educated to Master Degree with a specialization in Logistics or Project Management or similar and a good industrial comprehension, you have a first experience ideally in an international industrial environment, in the area of Logistics, Materialplanning, Procurement or Production processes. You are interested in railway products. Good communication and negotiations skills, your diplomacy and tenacity, your open-mind enable you to be well integrated in a changing environment. Your autonomy, team spirit, management and organizational skills, and good business sense are your key assets for this position. Good language level of English & German is mandatory, French will be an asset. Excellent MS office skills required.
