JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The ABS-Client System Specialist / Java Developer (m/f/d) is responsible for the assessment, analysis and implementation of client-businesslogic for the ABS program life. Besides project work the department is in close cooperation with the other ABS support entities within Allianz Technology SE and Allianz Deutschland AG also responsible for major and minor changes and the maintenance of all technical components of the contract life part of ABS plus various service interfaces to the integration & frontend layer.

Key responsibilities:
Development of the ABS-Client regarding changes of all ABS-Life specific functions in colocation with business transformation and business units
Consulting and support of our clients in creating new concepts
Inspection of functional and technical demands about fullfilling the following points: feasability, profitability, architectural and strategic conformity
Conduction of business analysis tasks independent from business transformation
Definition of technical designs and implementation of functional demands plus optimization of the software and systems (e.g. reengineering, tuning, refactoring)
Execution and realization of unit-, functional- and automated tests
Support and observation of the running system as well as checking, coordinating and analysis of problems or bugs
Knowledge transfer and documentation of the software and abs-system plus distinct cooperation with other developping areas inside or outside the department

Further responsibilities:
Leading and participating in working and project-groups in department or other levels
Actively participating in the implementation of the Allianz Technology SE strategy within the department
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

University degree in IT, Business IT, Mathematics or similar education
Consolidated knowledge of application and system-platforms, operating systems and interfaces
Previous theoretical and practical experience in software development, software architecture and business analysis
Expert: object orientated analysis, design and programming, Java, SQL
Master: Eclipse Rich Client Plattform, SWT/JFace, Java Design Patterns, JUNIT
Adapt ABS:
- Architecture
- Database incl. Datamodel
- Client functionality
- Process model
- Tools (ObjectiF, HP ALM, HP PPM, AE-Info)

Skills and Competencies
Excellent communication skills and a high level of customer orientation, fluent in German and English
Open minded towards managing change and passionate to take an active role in related activities
Highly motivated to deliver best quality results as an individual, as department, as ABS program
Highly result orientated and used to work with customer and other project stakeholders towards agreed deadlines
Hands-on work ethics and ambitious to continuously develop his/her own skills and serve as a mentor for colleagues

Desired requirements /skills /experience
At least 2 years of practical experience in developing with Java and RCP
Knowledge of the ABS-Germany implementation regarding technology and functionality
Knowledge of products and processes of life insurance
Knowledge and practical experience in programming with C++
Certification in ABS, OPEX, SCRUM, PMI
