Manager (m/f) Business Development Europe in Global Automotive

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

The Global Business Development team is part of the Global Sales board area of Allianz Global Automotive (GA). Its main task is to build the foundation for further profitable growth by defining new business models, managing regional/global tenders, investigating into white spot markets, driving strategic business projects with both OEMs and Allianz entities, and generating top notch business intelligence and analytics. We closely work together with the OEM key account management team, all regional sales executives, and relevant counterparts in other GA departments, Allianz Worldwide Partners, and Allianz Group overall. There are two sub-teams of Global Business Development: Global Business Projects and Business Development Europe. The “Manager Business Development Europe” will be part of the latter team focusing on all European key markets of GA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop new business/sales models for automotive business in key European markets

Manage strategic GA business projects with a European focus (with both OEMs and Allianz entities)

Drive European business tenders coordinating all relevant Allianz entities and GA departments

Act as a quality gate for (selected) local tenders with strategic GA OEM partners

Selectively support GA markets on-the-ground (e.g. workshops), in coordination with Regional Sales

Generate top notch business intelligence and analytics for European automotive insurance business

Act as a standing sounding board for concepts, methods, storylines, etc.

Drive the creation of tools and standards as well as best practice sharing within Europe and beyond

Help closely coordinate business development activities with other GA departments (e.g. Automotive Innovation Center)

Foster link with business development activities of Allianz Worldwide Partners and Allianz Group

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or similar studies

3-5 years consulting, insurance and/or automotive professional experience would be an asset

Excellent English (written and spoken), other languages desirable

Excellent proficiency in MS Office is a must (in particular PowerPoint and Excel)

Qualification, Certification and Experiences

Outstanding conceptual, analytical and quantitative skills

Excellent project management skills and experience in complex multi-stakeholder settings

Strong result orientation, self-standing drive and entrepreneurial mindset

Dedication to highest quality standards and willingness to speak up and challenge

Intercultural sensitivity and international (work or academic) experience
