Job description

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

We are looking to hire an Internal Auditor (m/f) to join our team in Frankfurt am Main as a full-time employee with immediate effect. As a member of the AllianzAM Internal Audit function, you will perform audit reviews and provide consulting services designed to assess controls and improve operations within the AllianzAM Group companies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• As a member of the global Internal Audit function based in Frankfurt am Main, you will focus on Investment Services (e.g. Trading and Portfolio Management)
• You will lead and execute audit assignments within assigned areas of responsibility in a self-reliant, focused and timely manner, and in accordance with the AllianzAM Internal Audit standards
• You will be responsible for the timely preparation of audit reports, containing accurate and concisely-worded audit findings reflecting deficiencies identified during audit fieldwork, as well as suggested practical recommendations to mitigate the associated risks
• You will maintain a professional relationship with auditees throughout the audit assignment lifecycle, to promote AllianzAM Internal Audit as a competent and trusted partner
• In addition, you will continuously demonstrate an awareness and a comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, industry developments and internal business processes

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Relevant Business degree
• Three to five years’ experience within the investment services area of a financial services provider (ideally, an asset manager)
• Strong analytical skills combined with a sound knowledge of financial products and markets
• Ability to lead and execute audit assignments, in accordance with The IIA Standards, in a self-reliant, focused and timely manner, whilst demonstrating accountability, objectivity, accuracy and due professional care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Other language abilities (e.g. German, French, Italian) are considered a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 20 - 30%.
• Flexible, team-player combined with an independent working style
