JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As head of team you are responsible for Network Security at Allianz. This includes design and operations of firewall and proxy technologies as well as managing our partners in this context and doing of escalation engineering in this context.
Leading the unit in accordance to the management guidelines and leadership values of Allianz
Develop employees and flexible and efficient capacity adjustments across business areas
Individual cost planning and controlling of the unit
Selection, implementation and operation of hardware / software components, taking into account the Allianz standard
Market monitoring and maintaining contact with customers, vendors (software/hardware vendors) and other units
Planning, management and implementation of IT projects
Preparation and presentation of documents to steering committees

Further responsibilities:
Training of and knowledge transfer to the 2nd level operations team in India and other Allianz Technology SE locations
Market observation of all relevant technologies and products in the network (security) area
Team working with network security engineers and administrators of other Allianz entities and subsidiaries
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree in related field is required, preferably in IT, Computer Science or Engineering
Very good proficiency of the English language (verbal and written) is mandatory. Other languages, especially German, would be beneficial
Successfully completed PE3 or more than 3 years of management experience
Several years of experience in IT operational support with strong solution orientation and problem-solving skills

Skills and Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of the network development process and network security (DC LAN, WAN, Routing, VPN, Firewall, Proxy)
Infrastructure relevant professional qualifications or certifications (e.g. Cisco, Checkpoint) are preferred
Independent and responsible work

Desired requirements/skills/experience:
Excellent communication and presentation skills combined with the ability to tailor communication to a multinational audience
Ability to understand and interpret business needs and associated technical requirements
Proven experience in complex and international organization, as well as the ability to work independently and accurately under time pressure
Experience in managing projects and tasks in a global environment
Ability to work analytically with focus on the targets
