Big Data Solution Engineer (m/f/d)
As part of the Data Lab, you'll be supporting the development of scalable AI Products with your software development and architecture experience, as well as your insights in systems design.
Build and maintain the reusable software components that power all our products
Design the solutions of the complete use-case pipelines, from data ingestion to data processing, software deployment and feedback loop
Understand and explain advantages and disadvantages of the proposed solutions to internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to improve the Allianz Big Data software stack and define the final production environment
Keep up with trends and evolving technology in the big data and analytics world
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor (BSc), Master (MSc) or equivalent experience in a technical field (for example, Computer Science, Engineering)
Experience with distributed computing, in-memory processing, resource management (Mesos, Nomad, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of data store technologies and fundamentals, both relational and NoSQL
Being able to manage security topics in an enterprise environment (LDAP/AD, Kerberos, encryption)
Expertise in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, Scala, Go.
Other programming languages are a plus
Knowledge of several architectural patterns (microservices, SOA, ESB)
Fluent English (spoken and written); German or any other major language is a plus
Capability of result oriented communication with people from different departments with different skill sets
Willing to work in an international team
Additionally, one or more of the following skills make your profile more interesting
Firm knowledge of basic networking concepts (OSI Layers, VPN, Tunneling) and protocols
Solid understanding of hypervisor, provisioning, configuration and deployment technologies, (KVM, Vagrant, Puppet, Docker)
Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, principles (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and capabilities
Experience in data analytics and data warehousing
Work experience with Data Integration and Data Visualization tools
