Job description:
Airware’s platform provides enterprise customers with the unique opportunity to use virtually any drone, for a wide variety of business applications. As part of the PMO team, the Technical Project Manager will have the responsibility to lead internal and external projects to ensure our customer commitments and internal development efforts are successful. You will support customers (internal or external) to understand and define their requirements, support solution development activities, and manage system implementation and delivery. So, you’ll wear one hat as a business analyst and another as the manager of an implementation team. You will also support internal teams with achieving contracted SLAs and ensure our performance is tracked, managed and reported to our executive teams. Ideally, you’ve done this before in the UAV or aerospace industries. If you have not, you've been a technical project lead deploying full stack solutions for large enterprises.
- Write requirements documents, technical design documents, engineering specifications and standard operating procedures
- Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams
- Manage project schedules, milestones, resource planning and forecast updates
- Manage solution deployment, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Manage subcontractor and partner integration
- Be the daily liaison with the customer during the course of implementation balancing customer expectations with internal milestones
- Create project plans and maintain relevant project documentation to ensure alignment across all departments
- Implement best practices and proven methodologies for managing projects, including lessons learned from previous projects
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities, ensure communication with other teams and customers to drive resolution
- Create dashboards to track and manage internal KPIs and deliver performance metrics to leadership teams

Profil recherché

- Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar engineering degree
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant project/program management experience leading hardware and software implementation for mission-critical and high availability systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve project objectives and deliver projects that go into production with customer acceptance within cost/schedule constraints
- Experience in Waterfall style project management techniques, and experience in blending elements of Agile & Waterfall to best fit the needs of teams and projects
- Passion for using data to drive process improvement decisions
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, solve them quickly and well, and know when to rely on internal resources to assist
- Willing to travel and to spend period of time away on Client sites (USA, Japan…)
- Fluency in English and French
- Excellent writing and communication skills – demonstrated ability to review and write scopes of work, project-related documentation, and develop and present presentations
- Both a strong technical culture and a deep appreciation for customer-centricity
