A vacancy for an Electrical System Installation Designer (ESI) (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Saint-Nazaire.
We are looking for motivated people to join our team within Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
Able to be force of proposal to improve our way of working within your speciality, you would get the opportunity to develop yourself on different competencies like team working, communication, project management and industrialization.
This project (DDMS) is a demonstrator of future way of working and designing aircraft in close collaboration between Engineering, Manufacturing and Services through new processes and tools. The first step consist in modernizing Single Aisle family by improving its industrial robustness to be used as the base of future aircraft development.

You will join ESI & MSI Department.
You will join the Plant Engineering Team, which is composed by 100 people in Saint-Nazaire and Toulouse dealing with all programs for Nose and Center Fuselage to improve the industrialization and support production on different topics where engineering could bring added value. The team is closely connected to different function in the plant such as quality, manufacturing engineering, supply, enabling to develop the global understanding of the business and being supported by specialist on their domain offering a great field of development. Because we are working on the definition dossier of each program, we are also daily connected with the different Design Office teams and Plant Programs.

Task & accountabilities :
Part of the plant engineering team in Saint-Nazaire, you will be dedicated to the project DDMS within the Multi-Functional Team dedicated to DDMS, combining AGILE and traditional project management way of working.
As System Installation Designer you would have different tasks depending on the project steps.
- Integrate new way of working, propose and lead Design Principle to solve pain points and industrial robustness.
- Ensuring a very close and operational contact with Key stakeholders, listening for their needs.
- Synchronize the design activities with the design office of the A320 and the new ESI PBS team (DDMS project)
- Manage the complete modification process from the Change Request to the drawings delivery
- Raising and maintaining the processes, methods and tools relatives to Design to secure the full coherency.
- Ensure accurate reporting to head of project

This role will involve some travel for business (mainly in Toulouse) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills :
You will have the following skills and experience:
• Educated to degree level in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong background on Electrical System Installation rules and DMU skills for modelling and analysing harness installation.
• Knowledge of A320/A330 Process, Method and Tools is highly appreciated
• You are autonomous, curious and proactive.
• Language Skills: intermediate level in English and Advanced in French
