Description of the job

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Tasks & accountabilities

For Airbus in Hamburg/Germany within the department Data Acquisition & Recording we are looking for a VIE – Data Collection & Smart Analytics (m/f).

Start: November 2018
Duration: 12 months

You will support the development of an aircraft mass data collection function and the definition of data analysis approaches for enabling predictive maintenance.

Activities:

·  Analysis of aircraft data network infrastructure and evaluation of access points for acquiring data.
·  Definition and assessment of architecture options on the data related fuctions, such as acquisition and storage.
·  Specification of equipment for implementing the architectures.
·  Analysis of aircraft data sets based on relevant "data analysis and data science" methods.
·  Development, verification and validation of models for predicting aircraft system failures.

Required skills

You offer:

·  University Degree in Engineering or Informatics
·  Understanding of data networks, data processing functions and data processing technology
·  Experience with "Big Data" and “Deep Learning”
·  Experience with econometric models for time series processing and inference
·  Experience with advanced statistics, machine learning, methods and algorithms welcome
·  Job experience in aircraft system maintainability, airline maintenance operations are a plus
·  Fluent level of English is a must
·  Some Germany and / or French language skills are an advantage

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
