Description of the job

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Candidates meeting these criteria and interested in a VIE, please register before your 28th birthday on the website www.civiweb.com. Are you passionate about IT, experienced in software architecture and convinced by the business added value of the digitalization?

A VIE Cloud & DevOps Engineer (m/f) position in the Information Management (IM) Infrastructure and Operations department has arisen within Airbus Helicopters.

Location: Donauwörth (Germany)
Start date: 01.02.2019
Duration: min. 12 months, preferred 24 months.

Airbus Helicopters will deliver several Digital Transformation initiatives sustained by Self-Service IT, Cloud (private and public), DevOps and automation.

·  Your mission as expert will be to design, develop and assemble IT products in order to participate to the successful implementation of Cloud and DevOps toolset.
·  You will work closely with internal customers in line with Agile / DevOps ways of working (e.g. gathering requirements, creating technical specifications and architecture documents, creating good documentation) and therefore will need a practical experience utilizing modern development methodologies including agile methods such as SCRUM
·  You will be engaged in all phases of the product development (DevOps mindset) to keep the Airbus IT landscape running smoothly, reliably, and efficiently.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  University degree in Information Technology
·  Ability to work in an international environment
·  Your skills will include the agility to transition between front/back end technologies with a good knowledge of Full Stack development, LINUX, Windows, JAVA, Python, Eclipse, C/C++, BASH, SVN, GIT, QT, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Ansible, Docker, Nexus, Artifactory, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Jira/Confluence, containers as well a basic knowledge of secure protocols, configuration of firewalls, traffic analysis.
·  First working experience would be an asset
·  Negotiation level of English
·  French and/or German language skills would be a plus
·  You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
