Description of the job

A vacancy for a Verification Engineer for Microwave Radar (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Friedrichshafen. The successful applicant will join “Microwave Systems”.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Being responsible for the planning and coordination of tasks within the scope of verification activities for electronic space products at unit level (antenna frontends of synthetic aperture radars)
·  Preparing verification and test documents, such as Verification Control Documents, test schedules, test procedures, test reports with detailed test definitions, whereby you will have access to the know-how and support of individual module managers in the project
·  Coordinating and controlling requirements based on specifications using the DOORS software tools
·  Coordinating and controlling subcontractor inputs with regards to the verification planning and verification implementation
·  Defining and, if necessary, creating specifications for test means/test equipment and their availability planning

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

·  Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, High Frequency Technology or equivalent
·  Experience in the definition of test requirements, as well as planning and carrying out test campaigns
·  Experience in the testing of electronic hardware (power electronics, digital and high-frequency)
·  Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
·  Negotiation level of English; German skills would be an advantage
