Description of the job

Location: Donauwörth
Start: May 2017
Duration: 6 months

The subject concerns the setup and installation of a test bench for helicopter flight control kinematics. Main focus will be on the simulation of cabin floor vibrations similar to flight conditions and the integration of relevant measurement equipment. Tests shall be conducted in order to characterize the mechanical characteristics of the flight control kinematics like inertia, stiffness, friction, damping and backlash.

Desired profile

Tasks & accountabilities

·  Contribution concept/design of the test bench concerning the excitation of floor group vibrations
·  Selection of devices to generate vibration
·  Definition of sensor installation, elaboration of detailed sensor performance requirements for given measurement needs
·  Selection of measurement equipment
·  Contribution to the setup of the test bench, installation of sensor equipment and subsequent calibration
·  Definition of relevant test cases and execution of tests
·  Evaluation of tests and interpretation of characteristic behaviour of flight control kinematics

Required skills

You offer:

·  Enrolled master/diploma student within Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, Automatic Systems or similar field of study
·  Sound knowledge of mechanics, statics and dynamics
·  Experience with measurement technology, sensors
·  Interest in controls, electrical engineering & mechatronics
·  CATIA V5, Matlab/Simulink
·  English: fluent
·  Basics in German welcome

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
