A vacancy for a Systems Engineer for Flight Control Systems (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “FCS & AUTOPILOT”.

Tasks & accountabilities

For the department FCS & Autopilot in Manching we are looking for a Flight Control Systems Engineer (m/f). We are responsible for the FCS of the platforms Eurofighter, Tornado and several Unmanned Vehicles.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Requirements Analysis and requirements breakdown
·  Definition and specification of Systems, Subsystems and Equipment of the Flight Control System
·  Specification and Agreement of low Level Interfaces to other Systems and FCS Equipment and sensors
·  Assessment of effects of new/modified functions and changed characteristics to the FCS performance and health Management
·  Generation of qualification and test requirements
·  Qualification and certification of FC System, Subsystems, Equipment
·  Contribution to technology projects in the domain of FCS

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Degree in aeronautics, physics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
·  Considerable experience in requirements Engineering (DOORS)
·  Experience with functional algorithm design (e.g. SCADE, XML)
·  Knowledge of manned and unmanned aircraft Systems, flight control system and flight management
·  Sound experience with MS Office Tools
·  Ability to work in a team
·  Fluent in German and English
