Description of the job

A vacancy for a Space Equipment Projects & Stock Controller (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Elancourt. You will join the Space Equipment French stock financial control and as a part of the Project Controlling team, you will provide financial support to colleagues across Finance Manufacturing, Procurement departments, and to the top management.

This position is an opportunity to develop strong finance knowledges in an industrial environment, and to interface with European colleagues (in Germany and Spain).

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Follow-up the evolution of inventories (monthly report, analyze R&O),
·  Perform the forecast and actual reporting of the APC Project (monthly closing, quarterly forecast, major regular KPIs : Hours/Workload/Inventories),
·  Provide management with qualitative information to support discussions and decision making,
·  Improve control process and reporting granularity,
·  Liaise with external auditors and provide transparency and accurate information (support the physical inventory, deliver the formal processes)
·  Contribute to improve the cash (cross significant purchase orders with real project needs, ...)

This role will involve travel for business twice a year in Madrid and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to Master degree (or equivalent) in Finance or a related discipline.
·  This position is opened to candidate with strong finance background, good analytical skills, and operational experience in inventory management and stock key figures monitoring.
·  A previous Space or Military applications experience would be appreciated.
·  Strong knowledge of financial systems (SAP, BW) with a good practice of Excel.
·  Cross functional communication skills: strong ability to interface with technical stakeholders.
·  Curious, willingness to improve, organized, ability to synthetize complex information, ability to network.
·  Languages skills : Negotiation level in French and English.
