Job Description

An internship offer entitled Internship Power plant design office (m/f) has just been opened Airbus Helicopters on Marignane site.

The Airbus Helicopters power plant design office is proposing an internship.

During certification process, the engine and its installation is submitted to icing requirements which currently requires heavy flight or bench test with the current development logic.

Using the expertise of the power plant design office department, the aim of this internship is to propose alternative development logic.

This internship will start in January 2020 (subject to flexibility) and will last for 6 months.

This position requires a security clearance or must be eligible for a clearance by recognized authorities.

Tasks and responsibilities:

You will contribute to the following main activities:

·  Bibliographic research
·  Definition of influencing parameter
·  Critic of current development logic (including financial and planning aspects)
·  Proposal of new development logic
·  Roadmap to be in a position to apply the new development logic for the next development

As icing behavior in engine air intake is a very complex phenomenon, the trainee will have to use theoretical aerodynamic skills as well as human skills to benefit from the knowledge of the different stakeholders.

This internship will allow you to develop the following skills:

Skills:

You are currently preparing a diploma at Bac + 5 level (or equivalent) in the field of aerodynamics and/or thermal or a related discipline

You have the following skills:

·  Aerodynamic skills
·  Synthesis skills
·  Human and communication skills
·  Creativity
·  Language skills: English advanced, French intermediate
