Description of the job

A vacancy for a Software Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “System SW Maintenance Avionics 1”.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Transfer and integration of technical data from the original manufacturer into the own development environment
·  Participation in the preparation of national requirements for the integration of external payloads/armament of the Eurofighter
·  Maintenance and adaptation of software requirements and design based on customer requirements - here especially for the "Armament Control System" (ACS) area
·  Performing problem analyses at software level with the aid of test benches, documentation or Airbus departments

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Degree (or similar) in Computer Science
·  Experience in requirements creation and design for complex software systems using the DOORS tool environment
·  Experience in software development according to V-model or comparable development models
·  advanced knowledge of an imperative programming language (preferably Ada or C)
·  Additional knowledge in hardware-related programming and the development of real-time systems is desirable
·  Knowledge of PCMS, HOOD, CoRE or Statemate tools is an advantage
·  German: fluent
·  English: advanced
