Description of the job

A vacancy for a Service Integration Expert (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen. The successful applicant will join “TZIEF - Functional and SW Design”.

Desired profile

Tasks & accountabilities

·  Work with the team of Service Owners for Software Engineering applications on common architecture, service road maps, on service continuity, obsolescence, improvement, and innovation subjects.
·  Continuous coordination with other IM teams with respect to service provision, needs and demands of assets, software products and licenses
·  Work with the service providers on the continuous transformation approach considering continuous improvements / evolutions in regards of costs and quality
·  Organize change boards with the business and IM stakeholders to coordinate service enhancements taking into account the criticality while putting a focus on business value
·  Drive the services of own responsibility with view on long term sustainability through commonality while sticking to standards instead of heavy customizations
·  Manage the external service providers in the scope of the frame contract
·  Provide models and frameworks for qualification test scenarios used in acceptance campaigns with respect to the delivered solutions
·  Communicate and work with business subject matter experts and Software Engineering software vendors / editors
·  Formulate and analyse specifications / descriptions of work for functional enhancements and validate and compare proposals
·  Present and demonstrate achievements in the area of own responsibility
·  Coordinate the troubleshooting in case of service complaints
·  Recommend mitigations to reduce obsolescence

Required skills

·  Master degree in IT engineering
·  Relevant previous experience working in an IT environment
·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
·  Analytical skills and the ability to produce clear technical documentation
·  Knowledge of Software Engineering, understanding IT issues from the business perspective.
·  Solid knowledge of Software Engineering software, including Software Configuration Management tools and Software Development Environments; knowledge of the Atlassian tool suite would be an advantage
·  Experienced in the operations of system and software engineering software based on Windows and LINUX
·  Comprehensive understanding of ICT architecture especially about the relationships between server, network, client, application and data base
·  Knowledge in automation capabilities and in script languages would be useful
·  Negotiation level in English
