“I was tasked with finding and buying a robot for research and development with an end goal to implement robotic assembly. I have been given the freedom to run with the project and handle tasks on my own initiative. Support and guidance is available if needed but you are by no means spoon fed the information. This makes each project a steep, but manageable, learning curve which is very rewarding. There is so much further development to be done in automation it is a really exciting time to be a Manufacturing Engineer at the forefront of these production improvements! The leadership team in this department is very forward thinking and open to change. The push to embrace new technology really comes from the top down.
