Diagnostic systems are used in order to automatically detect a faulty module after a test run. For this purpose, a diagnostic system which includes the algorithm is of course required. Furthermore, a test-related knowledge base is required; this serves as a diagnostic system based on the module's learning process.
The diagnostic system used until now is no longer available, and there are also no commercial replacements available on the market. Therefore, a new diagnostic system must be developed. For this, concepts and initial definitions are available, their feasibility must be demonstrated and their behaviours are to be assessed.
