Description of the job

A vacancy for a Mass Properties Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “Mass Properties MAN”.

Desired profile

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Determination of a preliminary Mass Breakdown within aircraft projects in order to optimize the configuration and to provide weights on component level.
·  Mass Control during development and design phases.
·  Compliance verification of built aircraft with type certification and contract.
·  Support to Entry into Service activities through delivery of relevant Weight and Balance documentation.
·  Making sure that suitable methods & tools are specified and developed in order to meet the department's targets.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  University Degree in aerospace technology or similar
·  First practical experience in the field of engineering
·  Sound knowledge of CATIA V5
·  Basics Mass & Balance
·  Experience in MS Office and Teamcenter PDM
·  English: advanced
