Description of the job

Are you looking for an internship? Are you interested in space technology and innovation? Then apply now! We look forward to you joining us as an intern (m/f) at Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen (35 hours/week, flexi-time).

Location: Friedrichshafen
Start: November
Duration: 6 months

Every innovation starts with an idea. Next step is to explore whether the idea is feasible and if there is sufficient economical rational to make the idea happened. We do have an idea on innovative payload for ISS. The objective of this work is to perform feasibility study of a design of microgravity payload. The purpose of the facility is to perform state of the art scientific experiments related to fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and chemical reactions.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your exciting tasks:

·  Review literature on the existing microgravity or terrestrial facilities related to the topic
·  Based on literature review, propose the way forward to asses customer desirability and propose the way forward with feasibility study
·  Investigate currently proposed preliminary design

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You offer:

·  Student enrolled within General/Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial Engineering or Physics
·  Knowledge of Ms Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Notions or interest in Google Suite
·  Knowledge of engineering tools such as Matlab, Catia is a plus but not mandatory
·  Languages: English is mandatory

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
