Airbus develops state of the art Product for the Border Security Business.
You will work in an Agile Team which develops a Command and Control (C2) software and the Surveillance software, key elements used within our Border Security product. The Surveillance software allows the Operator to assess the situation with the support of sensors like radar and cameras. The C2 software supports an operator to collect an Operational Picture so he can take decision and gives him the possibility to send orders to other Operators on the Field.
As an intern you will be completely involved with the SW development team.

Tasks & accountabilities

Design and Develop a SW suite to ensure configuration and monitoring of a distributed system. Your role will involve the following exciting tasks:

·  Design and develop an interface to monitor the running services
·  Provide a host monitoring
·  Design and develop an interface to configure the system.
·  Collect and Display the System configuration (for example display on the map the configured zones)
·  Display the node configurations for all the nodes (National, Regional, Sector)
·  Develop HMI including Geo map for displaying status dashboard and configuring system data

Used Technology : Java, DDS as middleware, JavaFX, GIS (Geo Information System), SOA, distributed system

Required skills

You offer:

·  Enrolled student within (Business) Information Technology, Software Engineering or similar field of study
·  Experience in Java
·  Experience in IntelliJ, Cassandra DB, Atlassian Suite would be a plus
·  Experience in continuous integration environment (gradle, Jenkins, Nexus, Git) would be a plus
·  Unix experience would be a plus
·  English: fluent I negotiation level
·  German skills would be a plus

You are a good team player and able to work independently. Besides you care about software and you have a passion for what you do. You have an eye for software and its design and you like to talk about technical topics due to your experiences and also from reading and experimentation. For you the internship would be more than just a new entry for your CV.
