Duration: 6 months

As an intern you will acquire an in-depth insight into work on a challenging new concept in the field of interplanetary spacecraft design (asteroid probe). This comprises adequate configuration of each subsystem to meet the mission requirements and scientific objectives.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your exciting tasks:

·  Objectives & requirements identification including breakdown to system and subsystem level
·  Conceptualization of system architecture
·  Design, detailed design, interface definition of the relevant subsystems and components
·  Simulation of the nominal operational scenario and critical mission phases on relevant subsystem level, but may also comprise part of the AOCS control algorithms

Required skills

You offer:

·  Enrolled student within Mechanical Engineering, Engineering / Avionics or similar field of study
·  Good knowledge of CAD systems and Matlab/Simulink would be a plus
·  English: fluent/negotiation level
·  German: would be a plus

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
