Description of the job

We are looking for an Industrial System Engineer Flow Simulation (f/m) in Germany, Hamburg at the earliest possible start date.

In the context of the creation of Digital Performance Center of Airbus, the Flow Simulations Engineer (f/m) contributes directly to the Airbus Industrial strategy by defining, developing and deploying production flow models and operations simulations. You will be in charge of:
• Creating, delivering and standardizing flow simulation models of existing and future manufacturing Lines/Plants
• Collaborating with industrial engineers on flow simulations to balance production rate across processes, understand material flow, determine buffer requirements and maximize factory throughput
• Capitalizing and growing knowledge and autonomy of the center of competence

Tasks & accountabilities

What does your new challenge look like?

·  Create, deliver and standardize flow models of existing and future manufacturing Lines/Plants and FAL´s
·  Create and define job competences and future WoW as 1st job holders
·  Capitalize and Growing the knowledge and autonomy of Digital Performance Center by capturing knowledge from external companies
·  Evaluate and define the most appropriate simulation tools for Airbus in order to have the most performant services (QCD)
·  Create and define the future Digital Performance Center for Airbus PMT's and WoW

Required skills

What do you bring?

·  You are educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering / Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
·  You have knowledge of industrialization principles and in the area of production management
·  You bring along knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes
·  You have appropriate professional experience in modelling/ simulation with “Discrete Event Simulation” tools (heißen: anylogic, technomatics, )
·  You dispose strong experience in programming skills in Java and SQL
·  You have appropriate experience in collaborative development environments (e.g SVN, GitLab)
·  Data analytics skills will be valued
·  You have already experience in project work/ management - including multifunctional/multicultural teams
·  You bring along good communication skills , creativity, good team spirit, active listening skills and a pro-active approach
·  Language Skills: negotiation level in English and advanced level in German would be a plus

This role will involve some travel for business about once a month in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
