A vacancy for a Software Engineer (m/f) Simulation has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “Military Aircraft Engineering”.

In “Simulation” we support the design, development and test of new aircraft, operational concepts and updates of existing aircraft by providing synthetic development environments that allow pilots to experience, assess and optimise solutions in early phases of development and support validation and verification of these solutions throughout the complete devlopment cycle. We develop and continously maintain leading edge simulation and test – tools for ourselfs and external customers to assure an efficient integration and test process of our products. Furthermore we develop Training Systems for our and third party aircraft that are delivered to our customers.

Application of latest SW technologies, leverage of digital technologies, an agile and team spirit driven way of working and promotion of self-initiative are prerequisites to be successful in “Simulation”.

In this position you will be responsible for designing and creating cutting edge software to provide new functionalities and principles for application in our simulation & test environments.

Required skills

You should have following skills and experience:

·  A bachelor / master degree in Computer Science or similar
·  First working experience in Software Engineering as an Intern or working student
·  Programming with C++ is something you have already done and where you see your professional future
·  Python, Qt/QML, OpenGL are not just some words for you, but instruments with which you have at least basic knowledge.
·  Open minded and creative in finding solutions for complex problems
·  We can count on you and you are eager to learn to become a pro in System Programming, Multi- Platform Programming an d OS principles
·  You speak English fluently, any other language would be a plus
