A. Accountabilities

The jobholder is responsible of:

In a very challenging context the objectives are to secure the long term business for the Company.

Within the Military Aircraft Controlling Team (TFA) main responsibilities are:

¤ The jobholder is responsible for driving and steering the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process including all the functions contributing to this Work Package (WP). He/she will ensure the full planning and controlling of all Recurring Cost (RC) and Non-Recurring Cost (NRC) activities.

¤ The jobholder ensures full financial management of the WP Cost by destination, and ensures for this perimeter the implementation of harmonized ways of working and strategy in accordance to Defence and Space controlling rules.

¤ The jobholder acts as a Business Partner, supporting Operations and provides input on all economic and financial aspects of the business. He/she ensures quality in data generation, delivery and full financial visibility to enable clear decisions making for operational Management teams.

¤ He/she monitors adherence to EAC/Operative Planning references at the correct level of granularity to steer properly the business (Org Area, Cost chapter; Function,…), and develops clear picture on 'EAC Current View', by delivering the Programme Review Meeting summary with all deltas identified vs 'Last approved' (delta performance, delta scope and transfer between WPs) and Risks & Opportunities (R&O) summary.

B. Main activities

The jobholder has to provide the EAC for the WP and monitor adherence to baseline:

¤ The jobholder analyses the EAC assumption issued by Program, and steers the EAC/Target Setting processes (Bottom-up and Top-down) by collecting
the different inputs (Learning curve, Product Subcontracting,…), highlighting the deltas resulting vs last reference (performance, scope or others).

¤ He/she cascades the targets at the correct level of granularity to steer properly the business (Org Area, Personnel hours/Subco./Material, Function, etc.)

¤ The jobholder monitors actuals and forecasts against EAC/OP targets highlighting discrepancies and R&Os, and proposing mitigation actions where needed. The jobholder has to support to Operations :

¤ Delivering high quality monthly financial reports (Cockpit, PRM, Finance in SteerCo), and ensuring that these reports:

·  Provide meaningful information regarding status vs targets.
·  Are built on the relevant axes (Time period, Cost chapter).
·  Provide visibility on the different types of delta, with a special focus on deltas coming from 'Activities out of EAC scope' (late modifications, extraordinary damages, certifications, etc).

¤ Providing a view on hours booked per aircraft based on the current standard clocking model to monitor the adherence to Learning Curve assumptions, and collaborate to define the way forward to develop a new model that can allow Management to analyze properly deviations.

¤ Managing targets convergence process between contributing functions view and Program targets, promoting and supporting discussion where required.

¤ Taking part of the Steering Committee, providing support to decisions making from a financial point of view. The jobholder has to provide and manage financial data such as:

¤ Management of the Cost Breakdown Structure fully aligned to the one defined by Program, and taking into account Management needs. The jobholder will ensure the capturing, challenging and monitoring of the impact of such changes.

¤ Management of Unified Planning, ensuring data integrity and updated the last baseline approved by Program every financial exercise (EAC, Forecast) Special tasks of the Jobholder:

¤ Provide continuous process improvement and identification of further savings and risks.

¤ Support on financial ad-hoc requests from Auditing (internal & external) and Accounting.
¤ Provide to Operations support on improvement projects (Cost of Non Quality, Clocking model, Activities out of EAC scope, etc.).
¤ Challenge operational performance and propose actions.
¤ Highlight Risks & Opportunities: ensure early identification of deviation from the financial plan and orientate recovery measures for implementation.
¤ Ensure consistency and quality check of costs allocation.
¤ Support on defining and monitoring of yearly Productivity target, as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
¤ Validate Business Cases (projects, initiatives, etc.) from a cost-destination point of view.
¤ Contribute to improvement projects, collaborating with Operations to build Business Cases.

C. Outputs

¤ The jobholder implements transnational reports and processes. Recommendation for decision making.
¤ The jobholder ensures the full financial visibility for all the processes through the implementation of new transnational tools supported by local inputs
¤ Monitoring performance against EAC reference and Budget(incl. saving initiatives)

Required skills

D. Relevant degree disciplines:

¤ Honours degree or equivalent in mathematics, sciences,Economics, Finance or Business from a major University or Business School.
¤ Ability to think analytically is important for this financial role, therefore a high level of academic achievement can be more important than the specific subjects studied.

E. Relevant degree modules:

Technical / IT / Behavioural / Language skills required:
¤ High MS Excel proficiency. Highly numerate and computer literate.
¤ Financially aware with high business partnering acumen.
¤ Critical thinking & ability to constructively challenge the operational business.
¤ Excellent team working skills.
¤ Good communication skills - an ability to make finance important to non-finance people and to make complex issues understandable.
¤ Languages required (fluent in English plus at least one other Airbus language)
¤ Experience required (e.g. work experience / clubs / societies / charity work / hobbies etc.):
¤ International Work Experience required
¤ Demonstration of a strong work ethic is essential.
¤ Hobbies and/or extra-curricular activities demonstrating teamwork / entrepreneurial spirit / digital mind-set/ global business awareness would be advantageous
