Description of the job

A vacancy for a Buyer in Payload Systems Procurement (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Hamburg at the earliest possible start date.

We are part of the Equipment and System Procurement and buy various parts for all Airbus aircraft families, which ensure the safety of the passenger and the aircraft as such. As a buyer, you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of the dedicated equipment in close cooperation with all technical and commercial counterparts.

Tasks & accountabilities

What will be your challenge?

·  You will proactively manage your product portfolio of the entire life cycle
·  You will implement and ensure the application of the product strategy in close cooperation with the procurement leadership team and in accordance with Airbus Procedures
·  You will plan and implement cost reduction campaigns and projects
·  You will run call-for-tender processes, negotiate change requests and manage approvals
·  You will define and implement the supplier rating in development programmes in close cooperation with internal interfaces
·  You will collaborate with representatives of other functions in accordance with business requirements
·  You will be in charge of the contract management, perform regular contract reviews, as well as proactively manage risks
·  You will manage deviations and litigations by taking appropriate actions to protect Airbus interest

Required skills

Your passport:

·  You have a Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline
·  You have initial working experience as a buyer
·  You are an effective negotiator with proven contractual background and legal awareness
·  You have solid experience in project management
·  You are able to work in a cross-functional and international environment
·  You are capable to drive improvement & innovation to concrete results
·  You speak English at a negotiation level, ideally German at an advanced level

This role will involve some travel for business (approx. on a monthly basis, within Europe and worldwide) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
