We, the Apworks GmbH are a young and innovative technology company specializing in the design, optimization and additive manufacturing (3D printing) of components. All engineering-relevant questions in the field of manufacturing and process optimization are considered and solved in order to be able to realize all customer requirements from prototype production to series production.

Material and Process Simulation Engineer (m/f/d)

Desired profile

Tasks & accountabilities

·  Process simulation and optimization in aerospace industry
·  Determination and Analysis of customer requirements
·  Thourough communication and projectmanagement incl. alignment of scope of work with customers
·  Simulation of manufacturing and assembly processes, development of prototypes and models
·  Definition of fullfillment including effort estimations on cost and time
·  Projectplanning and –management of defined work packages
·  Close collaboration with product development, application consulting and production

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

·  Successfully completed engineering studies (M.Sc. or M.Eng.) or a comparable qualification
·  You have at least 3-4 years experience in materials and/or process simulation using common FE tools such as Abaqus, Hyperworks, Ansys, LSDYNA or similar tools
·  You have experience in freeform modeling using common design tools such as CATIA, RHINO, Autodesk MAYA or similar tools
·  Resilient network in one or more of the following industries: Automotive, Aerospace, Mechanical, Robotics and Medical
·  You have in-depth knowledge numerical methods (implicit or explicit FE / CFD)
·  Experience in project management and control
·  Your strengths include technical creativity, commitment, team spirit and passion for innovation
·  You work independently, customer-oriented, goal-oriented and are ready to go the extra mile
·  You are communicative, decisive and consider customer projects as your own
·  Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
·  French is a plus
