Description of the job

We are looking for a repair engineer to perform static stress justification of structure repair and allowable damage for Structure Repair Manual (SRM) of Single Aisle, Long Range and A380 aircrafts. In this role you will evaluate and propose improvements of existing or new repair and allowable damage principles. You will establish static structure repair analysis guidelines and justification reports.

Tasks & accountabilities

In close cooperation with the SRM fatigue groups and certification departments, the candidate will be responsible to:

·  Work as stress engineer to perform stress analysis and associated stress documentation for structural repairs on primary fuselage structure
·  Check and approve or authorize SRM static stress reports and associated analysis
·  Check and ensure consistency across Supplier's SRM stress reports while ensuring harmonization between the different components and sections
·  Create and validate the deliverables for SRM publication

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Degree level in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar
·  Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in stress calculation for airframe primary structures multiple ATA would be of advantage
·  Extensive knowledge on metallic structure stress analysis
·  Basic knowledge on composite structure stress analysis
·  Autonomy and pro-activeness
·  Ability to anticipate and arbitrate daily technical decisions in case of conflict
·  Excellent ability to work in team; further solid communication skills are required
·  Solid knowledge of tools such as ISAMI, ISSY and ASSACOS and processes within Airbus organization
·  Ability to recognize and support development needs inside the given perimeter
·  Knowledge of repair and SRM process will be beneficial
·  Experiences from airlines or MRO would be of advantage
·  Good knowledge and practice in English and German
