Description of the job

A vacancy for a Air Data System Engineer (Flight Control System Eurofighter) (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “Digital Flight Control Systems”.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Requirements Engineering & Management: Derive, specify, verify and manage requirements over the entire product life cycle (e.g. in DOORS)
·  Continuous tool validation and optimization activities for quality assurance and improvement
·  Analysis and evaluation of Air Data System with regard to the requirements
·  Studies regarding the system behavior and for system improvement
·  Evaluation of flight test campaigns for sensor and weapon integration
·  Aerodynamic sensor calibration
·  Collaboration with internal and external partners
·  Validation of system design in FORTRAN
·  Hardware-in-the Loop (Rig)-test support

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  University Degree in Engineering with emphasis on Aerospace Engineering or similar
·  First Experience in the field of Air Data System (ADS), safety critical system design
·  System modelling, algorithm design and simulations (e.g. Matlab/Simulink, SCADE)
·  First Know-How with Flight data Analysis
·  Experience within Eurofighter processes and Aerodynamics
·  Basic Knowledge in FORTRAN coding
·  Basic Knowledge in DOORS requirements engineering
·  Good Team player
·  Good communication skills
·  English: fluent/business fluent
